Ryan Beasley started with Oliver Maner after two-years in private practice following a two-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Lamar W. Davis, Jr., in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Georgia.
During law school, Ryan interned in the general counsel’s office of EnergySolutions, an international nuclear services company, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to attending law school, Ryan worked seven years for Southern Nuclear, Southern Company’s nuclear energy operating company. At Southern Nuclear’s Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Ryan held various positions including systems and operations engineer before being selected for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s eighteen-month Senior Reactor Operator licensed training program. Upon receiving his license, Ryan worked as an on-shift supervisor, supervising field and control room operations.
Ryan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia. He went on to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in thermal sciences, fluid flow, and energy systems. After his stint with Southern Nuclear, Ryan returned to the University of Georgia where he graduated Cum Laude with his J.D.
Ryan grew up in Sylvania, Georgia, where he still spends most of his free time hunting on his family’s farms. He also enjoys taking trips to the Rocky Mountain West, where he enjoys elk hunting, fly fishing, and mountain climbing.
