Oliver Maner Lawyer Honored by State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division

Oliver Maner LLP, an award-winning law firm providing superior legal services since 1897, is pleased to announce David “Bobo” Mullens, III, an attorney in the litigation section of the firm, recently received the Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Profession, presented by the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia, on June 12, 2020, during the organization's annual meeting.

The YLD is composed of approximately 10,000 lawyers admitted to the State Bar of Georgia who are 36 years old or younger or who have been admitted to their first bar no more than five years. In keeping with its motto of "working for the profession and the public," the YLD has more than 25 hard-working committees that produce an array of projects and programs. Through the years, the YLD has also gained national recognition by winning several American Bar Association awards for its projects and publications.

Mullens regularly represents businesses, local governments, and individuals in civil disputes. His practice focuses on business litigation, county and municipal liability, transportation law, as well as select personal injury cases. In addition, a substantial portion of Mullens’ practice includes representing individuals or businesses in matters involving breach of contract, trade secrets, employment agreements, fiduciary duties, and professional negligence.

The current president of the Savannah Bar Association Young Lawyer Division and a graduate of the State Bar of Georgia's YLD Leadership Academy, Mullens also serves on the board of directors for the State Bar of Georgia's Young Lawyers Division. Outside of his legal practice, he is an active member of the community participating in several nonprofit leadership roles throughout his career and has been recognized by his peers and colleagues in SuperLawyers® as a “Rising Star” in the field of litigation. Mullens is admitted to practice before all state trial and appellate courts in Georgia, all U.S. District Courts of Georgia, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
