David Bobo Mullens, III

ABOUT:
David Bobo Mullens, III, is an associate in the litigation section of the firm. He regularly represents businesses, local governments, and individuals in all manner of civil disputes. His practice focuses on business litigation, county and municipal liability, transportation law, as well as select personal injury cases. A substantial portion of Mr. Mullens’ practice has involved representing individuals or businesses in matters involving breach of contract, trade secrets, employment agreements, fiduciary duties, and professional negligence.
Mr. Mullens has been recognized by his peers and colleagues in SuperLawyers® as a “Rising Star” in the field of litigation. He has also authored a number of professional and scholarly articles relevant to Georgia and the Georgia Ports, published by the Georgia Bar Journal, the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law, and the Savannah Morning News.
Mr. Mullens is admitted to practice before all state trial and appellate courts in Georgia, all U.S. District Courts of Georgia, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the State Bar of Georgia's Young Lawyers Division and is a graduate of the State Bar of Georgia's YLD Leadership Academy. He is the immediate past President of the Savannah Bar Association Young Lawyer Division.
Outside of his legal practice, he is an active member of the community. In prior years he has served as the Lawyer Division Co-Chair of the United Way of the Coastal Empire's Campaign Cabinet. In addition, Mr. Mullens is a board member of the L'Alliance Francaise of Savannah and is President of the UVA Club of Savannah.
Mr. Mullens attended the University of Virginia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History. His third year, Mr. Mullens studied abroad a semester in Valencia, Spain, where he perfected his conversational and business level fluency in Spanish. Mr. Mullens earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, graduating cum laude, where he served on the editorial board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. He was also an active member of the Prosecutorial Clinic, gaining valuable courtroom experience winning bench and jury trials while working in the Rockdale County DA Office. His third year of law school, Mr. Mullens was recognized for his involvement in trial advocacy and chosen as a pupil at the Orr Inn of Court.
