William (“Bill”) J. Hunter is a partner in the firm’s litigation section, concentrating in the areas of medical malpractice defense, plaintiff's personal injury / wrongful death, and business litigation.
Born and raised in Arkansas, Mr. Hunter earned a B.A. in Economics from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia, in 1999. Following graduation, he attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas. While in Fayetteville, Mr. Hunter was an active member of the Arkansas Law Review and served as the Note and Comment Editor in 2002-2003. In 2003, he received his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Hunter has become an active member of the Georgia State Bar, the Savannah Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association. He is the former Chairman of the Professional Malpractice Substantive Law Committee for the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Hunter is also a member of the United States District Court of the Southern District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals of the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit. Mr. Hunter also served on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the First Tee of Savannah. |
